Put on your paint-splattered clothes and come get messy as we make a "Paint-Pour Cross." This liquid art class will be fun, but you will need to be careful to not get "painted."

Calling all Voyager Students grades 7th-12th! Winter Jam 2025 is coming to Raleigh on February 14th! If you have not attended Winter Jam before, it is an EPIC concert hosting Christian Bands! This year's lineup: Skillet, Ann Wilson, KB, Colton Dixon, I Am They, Newsong, Micah Taylor, SEU Worship, and We Are Vessel! The speaker will be Zane Black! 

Pender County students do not have school on February 14th!

I have contacted and arranged for early pick up of Dixon Middle & High school students. Dixon students will require a parental permission slip allowing for early release of their student to me, Beth Henry. This must be turned in the morning of February 14th! Attached to this form you will find a copy of this permission slip. Please print, complete, and have your Dixon student turn this in the morning of the event.

School pick up is only for Dixon Middle & High school students. All other students must meet at the youth house.

There are 27 tickets allowing us early entrance.

Worship Hour Time Change

February 2nd is a big day at The Gathering! So, set your clocks, put it in your calendar, tie a string around your finger, or write it on your bathroom mirror. The worship hour times are changing! Instead of 8:10, 9:25 10:40, and 11:50, the new worship hours will be 8:00, 9:30, 11:00, and 12:10. This will allow some extra time for parking and (hopefully) help the flow of traffic inside the building as well. If you have questions about the time change, contact The Gathering Office.

Fun Fact:

If you’ve ever wondered why the times were so strange before, it was due to the old Surf City swing bridge turning every hour on the hour. So,  if you got caught at the bridge 5 minutes before worship started you’d end up being about 30 minutes late. These odd times helped a lot of The Gathering get to worship on time. If you didn’t know, now you do!

It’s time to get some friendly competition brewing! Bring your family and let's play! We’ll have some adults vs. kids and some family vs. family games, but all will be battling for the win. Fun will be mandatory! There will be games and food supplied, but feel free to bring your own family-friendly game and your favorite game night snacks. Come on out and let’s play!

Mark your calendars for January 19th at 12:30pm if you want to attend the next Gathering 101 class! Gathering 101 is for people wanting to jump into the deep end of The Gathering. Whether you're new to The Gathering or have been coming for a few years but just haven't taken the plunge, its a great place to learn more about The Gathering, the priorities, and the Family Commitment Card.

We get the opportunity to slow down a little, gather as a family, sing some Christmas hymns, participate in communion, and worship our Savior whose birth we get to celebrate. So, bring the whole family, invite neighbors and friends, and let's worship together!

All ages are welcome to the "Candlelight Christmas Caroling Bridge Walk" Friday, December 13th, at 6 pm. Please meet at Soundside Park at the Christmas Tree. We will walk across bridge and back by candlelight, singing Christmas carols. Battery operated candles and jingle bells will be provided for children and candles will be provided for adults. We will also enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies!

Come celebrate Jesus' Birth by making a joyful noise and shining your light to our community!

If needed, a rain date is scheduled for Dec 21st.

We rarely have time during the Christmas season to stop and reflect on the incredible gift of Emmanuel—God with us. The custom of serving tea and treats is an opportunity to slow down and spend time with others as you enjoy the moment, the fellowship, and the break from your busy day.

You are invited to a very special Christmas Tea, on Saturday, December 7, 2-4pm, in the Worship Center at The Gathering. There will be music and games, connection with friends around the table, and time to savor not only a good cup of tea, but the joy of the season. Cherish Roeder will bring us a message of hope and love from Isaiah’s prophecy about the Son, who would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Afternoon Tea is traditionally seen as a warm and cozy gathering. So come, gather, as we celebrate Hope and the season of His birth.

Parents! This is great opportunity to take care of your Christmas errands, shopping, wrapping, or just enjoy your favorite Christmas coffee while your child is cared for. We are having our own Christmas fun at The Gathering with crafts, songs, lunch, games and more.

Registration is required so we will have enough supervision and supplies.
Children must be potty trained.
